Muzzles are typically made of a solid fabric that can interfere with breathing or panting, especially a concern in hot temperatures. We made this one for a very cute and friendly pit bull who resides in Ontario and legally must wear a muzzle when outside its home. Made of very thick and flexible fiberglass mesh, it has a soft band along the inside forward edge. All seams are hidden or covered. A 1" (25mm) strap attaches to a 1" (25mm) buckle. (3/4"/19mm webbing and buckle for smaller dogs.) The dog's owner wanted a shorter than normal muzzle and this one measures 2-1/2" (63mm). Muzzles are made to order and tapered for a perfect fit. See below for measuring instructions.
To Measure:
- Measure the circumference of dog's snout at the front edge placement of the muzzle
- Measure the finished length of the muzzle
- Measure the circumference of dog's snout where the muzzle ends
- Measure from the point at the side of the snout where the muzzle ends around the dog's ears and back to the other side on the snout where the muzzle ends
